The soon-to-be-released-in-the-UK iPhone is a revolution in mobile telephony (I know 'cos I was lucky enough to have a preview play!)
Now WebEx have announced a new version of their "PCNow" software which will allow iPhone users to reach their Outlook emails and PC-based files direct from the phone.
It's basically like the remote access software that tecchies sometimes use to "take over" your PC and fix a problem for you. But here, you use your mobile phone to take over your PC in the office and access your files as if you were there. Pretty powerful stuff - this is not like synchronisation - if you reply, delete or forward an email, the change also happens in your PC mailbox there and then.

If you've not been converted to the idea of iPhone yet, you should take a look. It has a really new user interface, which allows you to do things like pointing at a phone number with your finger to call it. In fact there are only a couple of traditional buttnos on the whole device. It does, though, have built-in sat-nav, a camera (not the best one ever, but what the heck) and a host of other features.
Although much of the hype has been around leisure use, things like the new WebEx announcement are likely to make this very attractive to a lot of business users too.
As for "when", it's all a bit vague right now. They're saying Q4 of this year and rumours are abounding about November (or even 1st November). All we can say just yet is "watch this space".
